Professional Development
As valuable health professionals, pharmacists are accountable to the patients they care for by ensuring their knowledge and skills are kept up-to-date and they remain competent to practice. One of the ways that pharmacists, like other professionals, ensure their competence to practice is by being involved in continuing professional development (CPD).- Learning Portfolio Requirements

PREVIOUSLY RECORDED PROGRAMS
The College of Pharmacists of Manitoba (College) has a variety of free accredited professional development (PD) programs available to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. The recorded PD programs listed below were developed, presented to a live audience, and recorded in Manitoba to address pharmacy practice needs in the province.
The College evaluates each recorded PD program on an annual basis to determine if expired programs remain relevant and accurate. The College will either extend a recorded program’s expiry date or delete the program based on this yearly evaluation.
For details on accessing these recorded programs, please see the instructions below.
Viewing Recorded Professional Development Programs
The recorded PD programs listed on this page were recorded by the St. Boniface Hospital Research Centre (SBRC), 351 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba, in the Samuel Cohen Auditorium. The recorded PD programs are also hosted by SBRC on their website: http://www.sbrstream.ca/1.aspx
Please review How to Stream Recorded Professional Development Programs for details on viewing recorded PD programs.
Claiming Continuing Education Credits for Recorded Professional Development Programs
To claim Continuing Education Credits (CEU) for the recorded PD programs listed on this page, pharmacists must fill out a program evaluation form and submit it to the College.
Please submit a completed program evaluation form to the College by email: profdevelopment@cphm.ca.
Once the College receives your evaluation form, we will send you a CEU certificate through email. The number of CEU you can claim for each recorded PD program is listed with the program descriptions found in the next section.
Please note: The handout materials and slide presentations support the recorded PD programs. Review of the handout materials or slide presentations on their own is not an accredited learning activity.
